I'm Kirkland. I grew up in a mechanic shop my uncle owned, and I've been working on vehicles and heavy equipment for 16 years. KT Automotive is veteran owned and operated. I work on cars, trucks, diesel and heavy equipment, and most of the time I come to you.
How I work
Three things I do every time.

I come to you.
Home, garage, a job site. Tell me where the vehicle or machine is and when it works for you. I'll look at it there.

I tell you what I find.
If something is leaking, worn or failing, I'll say so in plain words and say what it needs. If it doesn't need work, I'll say that too.

I diagnose, then I quote.
Pricing is hourly: $85 for gas, $125 for diesel, $140 for heavy equipment. The quote depends on the repairs needed, and you hear it before the work begins. I warranty any work I do if it's brought back to me; if another shop touched it first, I can't stand behind what they did. Cash, card and check are accepted.
What I work on
Cars, trucks, diesel, heavy equipment.
Most of my work is engine swaps, tune-ups and heavy equipment. Around that: oil changes, brakes, belts and hoses, batteries, starters and alternators, radiators, diagnostics and general engine repair. On the heavy side: dozer and loader rebuilds, hydraulic lines and body panels on equipment. If your job isn't on the list, ask. More services are available upon request.
Recent jobs include a 2019 Kia Optima engine replacement, a D3 dozer rebuild, a fiberglass hood repair on a CAT loader and a front-end rebuild on an F-150. The work page shows photos from my own jobs.
Where I work
Pensacola, Pace, Milton and Gulf Breeze.
I come to you across the local area at the same rate; past that there is a trip charge, and I don't go as far as Tallahassee. When a job needs a lift, it comes to my shop at 2310 Fernwood Ave, Pensacola, FL 32505.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 5:30 to 8:30pm, Friday to Sunday 8am to 5pm. Emergency and after-hours calls any time. If I'm under a truck, my brother answers messages.
